Side effects of using tea tree oil on your skin

Today, I would like to share with you the most important and probably dangerous side effects of tea tree oil on your skin, so, always use it in moderation, and you should also understand that tea tree oil is no ordinary fatty acid, it's extremely dangerous and powerful when used in high amounts, and it can temporarily damage your skin, and sometimes permanently!

  • The first side effect is burning!

I have received in my hair website many questions and comments about tea tree oil, it's because I advise people to use it!

Lately, I have received two or three complaints about burning sensations!

Yes, tea tree oil will burn your skin, not in the literal sense, but it will cause inflammations in your skin that will look like burnings, and this is very dangerous since tea tree oil is going to react badly with chemicals on your skin and cause even much more damages internally!

So, my advice is to always use tea tree oil in moderation, never exceed the recommended amounts, and when me or someone else tells you to mix it with a carrier oil, please do so, never be stubborn with this oil, it can burn your skin easily when you exceed the appropriate amount!

In fact, it can cause you so many damages and problems that you will probably spend a lot of money and a lot of time going to dermatologists to get rid of!

  • The second one is inflammations.

Inflammations are like burnings; however, they are not as severe.

They will only happen when you mix in very small amounts tea tree oil with carrier oil!

For example, you take one teaspoon of olive oil and you add to it one teaspoon of tea tree oil and you use it directly on your skin or hair for example!

Trust me; this is a quick recipe to cause your skin irritation, rash, burning sensations, and even inflammations that will last you up to two weeks!

My advice is to always mix tea tree oil with other carrier oil with a ratio of 1 to 5, and if you have weak skin, always use tea tree oil with a ratio of 1 to 7, and here, you should be very careful as it can cause you more damages than the problem you have used it for!

For example, a client of mine wanted to clear a pimple in her face, so, she used tea tree oil with little olive oil, and soon, a large part of her face was inflamed, red, and very itchy, after three weeks, she recovered, but she swore to never use tea tree oil again!

  • The third side effect is itchiness!

This is completely normal, when you use too much tea tree oil on your skin, you are going to suffer from itchiness, in fact, itchiness is symptom of inflammations and you will also suffer from burning sensation in your skin.

This is one of the most typical side effects of tea tree oil, and as usual, if you'd like to avoid it, you need to use it wisely, in other words, don't exceed the recommended ratio I just mentioned.

  • And the fourth side effect is hair loss!

Tea tree oil can damage your hair follicles and cause temporary and even permanent hair loss if you apply too much.

So, from now on, never use a lot of tea tree oil on your skin, you will just damage your healthy cells while also nearly destroying your hair follicles.

These are the most important side effects of tea tree oil on your skin, if you have a question or a comment, please, post it in the section below.
