Is grape seed oil good for your skin?

Is grapeseed oil good for your skin?

Well, this is what I'm going to talk about in this post, and trust me, grapeseed oil is not only one of the best oils you can use for your skin, but it's also one of the most protective and healthy fatty acids for your whole body.

The amazing thing you need to understand about grape seed oil when it comes to your skin is that you can use it as nourishing oil!

It doesn't contain lots of antioxidants, essential fatty acids, or anti-inflammatory compounds, however, what is amazing about grapeseed oil is that it is absorbed by your skin very easily and it's not a comodogenic fatty substance, in other words, it doesn't clog your pores.

So, what other benefits can grapeseed oil offer to your skin?

Here they are:

  • The first one is grapeseed oil is a hypoallergenic fatty acid.

What do we mean by hypoallergenic is it doesn't cause allergic reactions when you apply it, and trust me, no matter how much grapeseed oil you apply to your skin, it's not going to cause problems nor allergies, because it's very safe and as mentioned before, it doesn't contain lots of anti-inflammatory and antioxidants, which makes it very "easy" on your skin and it doesn't cause inflammations and other problems like rash even when you use a lot.

So, I highly recommend that you use it, especially if you are just caring for your skin, in other words, you are not suffering from skin problems, and you would like to rehydrate your skin and makes it look healthy and beautiful, you can use up to one tablespoon a day without causing any damages or side effects, however, you have to be careful and not use a lot in one particular area because it can dry your skin very quickly, however, this doesn't mean that it's dangerous, it only means that grapeseed oil is going to penetrate your skin deeply and cause some dryness, which is not terrible if you ask me.

  • The second one is it's a great carrier oil.

If you are suffering from skin problems and you would like to use essential oils to deal with it, like tea tree oil for example, then, grapeseed oil is a fantastic carrier oil you can use very safely.

Indeed, because it's well tolerated by your skin, you can use up to one tablespoon a day without causing any damages, as mentioned before, and when you add to it an essential oil, it combines very well which will create a homogenous fatty substance which is well tolerated by your skin and which will "carry" the essential oil directly to the area where it is needed.

That's why you will find me referring to argan oil and other carrier oil a lot in this website, it's because they are going to safely transfer the essential oils to your skin without causing damages or problems, and most importantly, without exposing your skin to high concentrations of these essential oils which tend to be very harsh and inflammatory as well.

  • And the third one is it doesn't make your skin oily or inflamed.

By using grapeseed oil frequently, you are also going to prevent your skin from becoming oily as this fatty acid is well absorbed by your healthy skin cells and is well tolerated by them as well.

This also applies to inflammations, if your skin is easily inflamed, even by using cosmetics and other products, then, using grapeseed oil is fantastic and will not cause inflammations.
