Grapeseed oil skin side effects

In this post, I'm going to share with you the most terrible side effects of grapeseed oil on your skin.

To tell you the truth, there aren't many, but the ones that I'm going to cite in this post are terrible and if you use huge amounts, you are going to cause your skin more troubles and damages than help! So, avoid using a lot, and respect the amounts I'm going to share with you in this post.

  • The first terrible side effect of grapeseed oil for your skin is increasing fungal activity.

Because grapeseed oil is very rich and contains lots of nutrients, funguses living on your skin are going to increase in number greatly when you start applying it on a regular basis, which is the reason why I only recommend my readers to never exceed one teaspoon a day, I know that this is going to look like a small amount, but it's very important because grapeseed oil is very rich and will increase fungal activities dramatically, especially bad funguses, which is worse than helping and healing your skin through its benefits!

  • The second one is increasing bacterial activity.

The same can be said about bacteria, they will thrive, especially the bad ones, when they are fed, and this is exactly what most people are doing when they start using grapeseed oil on a daily basis, especially when dealing with huge amounts.

For example, a woman came to my shop with lots of redness and inflammations on her face, I asked her about it and she said that she was using a combination of oil, when I kept asking her, she told me that she was using grapeseed oil with olive oil on a daily basis, more than one table spoon, I know that this is going to sound spooky, but it's true, when you give bacteria and funguses all the nutrients they need, they are going to thrive and invade other places in your skin, which is terrible!

This can also be said about other oils which are not essential, in other words, which do not contain anti-inflammatory and antibacterial agents!

Which is the case of grapeseed oil, it's not very powerful against bacteria, so, when you start using a lot on your skin, they will thrive and do more damages.

  • The third one is making your skin dry.

Most people who use grapeseed oil on a daily or weekly basis on their skins know about this side effect: it dries the skin terribly!

This is true because it doesn't contain lots of essential fatty acids, grapeseed oil is usually used for massages because it's absorbed by the skin very rapidly, however, because it lowers moister in your skin quickly, within time, it's going to dry your skin and cause dandruff and even inflammations, so, avoid using it a lot.

  • And the fourth side effect of grapeseed oil for your skin is pesticides and fungicides exposure.

This side effect is only going to happen when you use none organic brands.

Because you are dealing with a fatty substance, which absorbs volatile molecules very easily during the extraction process, grapeseed oil is going to contain lots of antifungal and antibacterial pesticides, these are going to be absorbed by the oil and when you use it, your skin is going to absorb these dangerous chemicals as well.

As a precaution, always use organic products when dealing with your skin, it's the best way to avoid future dangerous and high exposures to these chemicals that can cause future problems and even dangerous illnesses.

Indeed, these are the most important side effects of using grapeseed oil on your skin, don't get scared, it's a fantastic oil to use, however, what you need to understand is that moderation is key here, don't exceed one teaspoon a day and everything will be just fine.

Please, if you have a question about using grapeseed oil for your skin, don't hesitate to ask me, I'm here to help you.
