Salicylic acid for dry skin

There are so many techniques to use salicylic acid for dry skin that this post can never talk about and deal with, so, I'm only going to share with you the ones that will work in most cases, trust me, they are very easy to use and even better, they will produce amazing results very quickly.

I'm sure you have already heard that salicylic acid can be used successfully for excessively oily skin, but, how about dry skin?

You may think that salicylic acid may not be that efficient, but I think you are wrong, and from my experience, as a busy beauty professional, I know that most women who are suffering from terribly dry skin, when they start using salicylic acid the right way, are going to get amazing results, and this is what I'm going to share with you in this post.

  • Why salicylic acid works for dry skin?

Well, simply because your skin is clogged, in other words, your pores are closed and don't allow the secretion of sebum!

Your skin isn't completely dry, in fact, your sebaceous glands, the ones responsible for producing sebum, the fatty substance, are working very hard, yet, they are clogged, in other words, whatever they produce can't get out!

So, the best way to use salicylic acid in my opinion is to apply a liquid one, 30% concentration, onto your skin using a cotton ball.

At first, this is only going to show minor results, but please, be patient, because it's going to clear out your blackheads and whiteheads very efficiently which is going to make your skin regain its balance and start producing good quality sebum again which is going to keep your skin moist and very healthy.

  • The second step is to use tea tree oil.

I know that this post is only about salicylic acid, but I would like to give you another way in order to improve your skin’s moisturization and to increase its resistance to diseases and inflammations.

Besides using salicylic acid on a daily basis, while not exceeding two weeks, you should start using the following recipe on a daily basis as well, however, you should alternate usage!

For example, if you are going to use salicylic acid in the morning, then, you should use this tea tree oil mixture before you go to bed.

So, here are the ingredients you will need:

Two tablespoons of argan oil and one teaspoon of tea tree oil.

Mix all these in a dark glass container and apply a maximum of one teaspoon a day to your skin, this will improve your moisturization while also getting rid of as many blackheads and whiteheads as possible, which is going to increase sebum production and bring balance back to your skin.

Please, if you have a question about using salicylic acid for your dry skin, don't hesitate to post it below, I will be very happy to help you.
